Dr. Lachker is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist in private practice in Sherman Oaks, California, an affiliate member for the New Center for Psychoanalysis, provides film analysis, is the author of The Narcissistic/Borderline Couple: Psychoanalytic Perspective on Marital Treatment, The Many Faces of Abuse: Treating the Emotional Abuse of High-Functioning Women, The V-Spot, How to Talk to a Narcissist, How to Talk to a Borderline, he Disappearing Male, New Approach to Marital Therapy and the forthcoming book, Courts Beware of the Borderline Personality: Implications for Mediation and numerous articles and publication on marital and political conflict (See tabs below.)
Dr. Lachkar is also a psychohistorian, speaks locally and nationally, and has presented such articles as "The Psychopathology of Terrorism," "The Psychology Makeup of the Suicide Bomber," and many other article using a psychoanalytic approach to understanding marital and political events. In addition, she is also a trained classical ballet dancer and uses her experience of dance to understand the "dance of the couple."
